We’re proud and excited to have partnered with Solar Together
Fresh Solar UK
As a family run electrical business we’ve focussed our work in the renewable energy sector, mainly solar panel installations over the past 15 years.
We work closely with both UK and international solar manufacturers to ensure we use the best quality components available in the industry.
As members of the NICEIC, HIES and EPVS we work closely with them to ensure that each installation is fully compliant and safe.
Before you go ahead with any solar panel company ensure they are registered NICEIC electricans. You want your new solar panels to generate energy for years to come and to be installed safely on your property.
Only reputable solar installation companies will be registered with HIES, this gives you the customer and additional layer of protection with their insurance backed guarantee. If your installation company stops trading HIES then cover any issues under their insurance backed guarantee.
EPVS is an external body who validates your solar PV system quote to ensure the installed solar PV system delivers the savings and generates the energy you have been quoted.
Choose Fresh Solar for your solar panel installation and join our thousands of happy customers.

How do Solar Panels work?
Solar panels or photovoltaic panels use light to generate energy. Daylight or any light on your solar panels will generate electricity.
If you’d like to know more about how solar panels work you can find more information here.
Do I need Solar Battery Storage?
Most of us are out during the day so installing solar battery storage enables you to store the daytime solar energy for use at night.
With the modern solar battery solutions many have the facility to force charge. This means you can ‘top up’ your batteries from the grid at off peak hours saving you more money.
You can find more information on solar battey storage here.
How many Solar Panels can I have?
The number of solar panels you can install depends on the size of your roof. Other factors which affect the number of panels you can install are things like dormas, roof windows or any other obstruction on your roof.
The best way to find out how many solar panels you can install would be to arrange for a FREE no oligation survey!

Will I get the Feed in Tariff?
The government Feed in Tariff scheme ended in April 2019.
Home owners with solar panels can still get paid from their energy supplier for solar energy exported back to the grid.
The unit rate for exporting energy varies from supplier to supplier but is very low, in some cases just 5p a unit.
We would not recommend installing an oversized solar panel system to feed back to the grid. Instead, install solar battery storage to store your excess energy for use at night time when households use the most energy.
Do I need planning permission?

Ben Thame was the installer for our solar, he was great, really helpful doing all we asked and helping with a roof issue we had before installation. He finished the installation in a day and was very tidy. A really nice guy BEN deserves the 5 star review.
